Spent 2hrs on line last night researching petrol hedge trimmers, got fed up and bought this instead....

2016 American Standard Tele. Advertised as, and looks to be, in A1 condition. Hopefully arriving next week, C-19 permitting.

Had a hankering for a Tele for a while, been looking for an Elite, but this ticks all the boxes at around two thirds of the price.

Correct my friend. Twisted Tele in the neck, Broadcaster in the bridge, straight from the Fender custom shop. Happy days.

Best Tele look 3tsb with rosewood. Get some bare knuckle country boys in it and it’ll be perfect.

I love the look of the edgebound Custom Telecaster and Custom Esquire but cannot get on with the skinny necks. (I shall always be a Blackguard addict.)

I actually find a back binding on a Tele digs in as much as I love the look.

  • That's a beaut. My Tele has a set of Bareknuckle Brown Sugars in it.

Who needs to trim the hedge anyway? They're supposed to grow, it's what plants do.

Fuck it, that's a much better way to spend your money.

Happy NGD! I have one from the same range/year - ash body, rosewood neck and crimson red transparent finish, a case queen from Reverb.

I had a Tele as my main guitar in my teens/twenties, and I’d swear my ribs are still bruised, so the belly cut is an absolute godsend. The neck’s a real pleasure, too.

I restrung it with 10s and replaced the Broadcaster bridge with a Nocaster 51 that I picked up in the classifieds, which makes the bridge tone a bit warmer. The Broadcaster wasn’t doing much wrong TBH, but I’d been planning on the TT/N51 combo since before I got the guitar!

Anyway, absolutely love mine - hope yours gives the same pleasure.

Great pickups in those. You just need to change the bridge on it for a real one. It’s not a tele if it sounds in tune
