Where to buy a body blank for bass guitar (lightweight)

Where do you guys go for body blanks?

I'm looking to make something roughly the size of a jazz 5 string and I want to make sure it isn't too heavy.

I can possibly get some depending on what you want.. I work at a timber supplier.. Things are a bit low in stock at the mo cos of whats going on but we started getting access to the workshop this week and then the farm where we mill and kiln too so hopefully we can start to get some more in very soon.

We do have some really nice sycamore. Its not that heavy. Some poplar and I think lime (depending on how soft you are prepared to go). But I wont be in again till next week now (first day back today). What thickness you looking for?

I forgot about this thread! Thanks for the suggestions people. Ideally I'd prefer something I can see first though as I'm leaving the body as bare wood.

Sherwood timber have nice blanks on ebay
 The delivery is a bit sharp like but if you're anywhere near staffs I think you can arrange collection 

Was 28£ for a poplar 2pc (boring grain but light/tough)
 I had some sapele from there too which was oddly light! About 34£ for the 2pc

Thanks! The total body size would fit on 540mm x 370mm, depth at least 44mm I guess, doesn't have to be 1 piece if the bits look OK together. I want something that isn't too heavy (had a heavy bass in the past which was awesome but I sold it as it made my shoulder ache), and preferably nice looking as I'm keeping it as bare wood. Having said nice looking, I suppose that I could just get a top???

Yes well you could always do some weight relief and get a top... We do those too...
