Good lord, 161 now. Most impressive.

In order for MR to know or care, they would've had to actually put the effort in to look outside their own little garden; I think it's already been pretty conclusively proven that they have no inclination to do so.

I'm pretty damn sure they'll notice when their forum's overrun with spam on account of their entire moderation team being here instead of there, though

Believe it or not, yesterday evening I still had nineteen users on my site at one point.  Six of those were registered users and the rest were guests.  I may have to start banning people who dare to come to my forum. 

Talking of guests.... is there an easy way to see how many guests / bots are on this site ?

Good point!

After 24 hours (yup, I got up at 0830 on A Sunday morning just to check), we have 168 registered users.  Not bad for a first day's work.

I expect it'll drop off a fair bit after the initial excitement and people exploring the place, but it'll be quite interesting to see what the consistent traffic pattern is.

In related news, I'm really rather proud of my little-server-that-could. I don't think there was a single blip during the whole day

Yeah.... I demand special status forever.  There I was, about to make the announcement that this place was open and urge my flock to flee into the arms of another forum, when I had this sudden urge.....  They're my members...

Talking of medals.... how come certain members have started off with massive numbers on the badges huh ?  There's no way anyone got over a thousand 'knowledge' clicks in 24 hours.  Are you running the Zimbabwean Electoral Commission as well ?

Yeah, that was a half-joke by me just for the giggles - Nick got 1000, the rest of the initial dev team got 500. It was actually the result of me playing a bit when I was asked to remove some pre-launch facepalms. Sporky asked me to remove his extras, so I guess I should remove them from everybody's. 

Well, I thought it was funny...

It does bring up a small point - there's no way for people to know who's an admin/mod and who isn't. Since the rules specifically instruct people to contact the admin team as a last port of call for disputes, that's a bit of a problem. I can't remember if we discussed it or not...?
