    @RandallFlagg ;

    Cheers. I hadn't heard of The Nerves or The Paragons.

    Dolly knocks I Will Always Love You out of the park. Whitney is a great singer, but her version is completely lacking in soul or sincerity.

    Tom Jones - Green, Green Grass of Home.

    Recorded by several people before Jones.

    First was Johnny Darrell.

    Porter Wagoner and Jerry Lee Lewis also recorded versions before Jones.

    Only people who weren't around in the 70s - they were both in the top 40 at the same time!

    They didn't actually write it either, but this is the first recorded version.

    "Take these three items, some WD-40, a vise grip, and a roll of duct tape. Any man worth his salt can fix almost any problem with this stuff alone." - Walt Kowalski

    "Just because I don't care, doesn't mean I don't understand." - Homer Simpson

    Andrew Oldham's arrangement of The Rolling Stones "The Last Time"

    Bittersweet for Richard Ashcroft

    Thing is it sounds nothing like The Last Time so how the Stones could claim the royalties is beyond me.

    I always thought that The Great Society's version of Somebody To Love was far superior to the Airplane's (renamed) version. Their original version of White Rabbit is pretty damn good as well.
