I am strugglin' to see what's going on.....the chords after the e bass triplet pedal all go in downstroke fashion but it looks like he starts the e triplets with a downstroke and then starts the chords with repeated downstrokes too...huh?

It’s quaver (chord), semi-quaver, semi-quaver, quaver, quaver, then a chord on the 3rd beat.

Sometimes he does quaver (chord) semi-quaver, semi-quaver, semi-quaver, semi-quaver, quaver.

No triplets, so downstrokes at the start of every quaver (and therefore also at the start of every crotchet)
