This arrived on Saturday - Vintage V100WR, with a headstock crack and lifted fingerboard.

It was pretty filthy and missing the original nut. Fitted a temporary (slightly undersize and wrong colour) replacement, cleaned up the guitar and glued/clamped the damage.

Tidied up any excess glue yesterday, cleaned up the knackered bridge, but the saddles were too far gone - eventually replaced it with a new one and strung it up to see what’s what.

Plays well and sounds great. I won’t bother refinishing the damage, but it’ll need a few areas of drop-fill with cyanoacrylate at some point.

Nice job. I agree with you, they do play well and sound really good. 
Your repair looks exactly like the factory 'relicing' on my Vintage V-100 MR PGM  :-D

I really rate these vintage brand guitars. 

If I had a guitar shop (again) I’d stock pretty much the full range as my budget/beginners offerings. 

Comparable and cheaper than squier and epiphone I think.
