  • The BB234 is excellent, a really good choice. You've got to spend a lot more to get anything as well put together I think. I've previously praised the Ibanez Talman basses, but this is better. I had one and sold one, and as times gone on I've regretted it and will get another when there's some spare cash.

Very cool. You’ll have an actual musician in the family now :).

(At the peak of my competence in guitar I’ve never been what anyone would call a musician)

I have that amp at home. They're brilliant little amps, really well made and sound fabulous.

good to know! I was nosing around at used stuff and at the Fender rumbles then when I was ordering the Yamaha from Bass Direct it just seemed simplest to get the cheapest amp they did and I know EBS are a "proper" bass brand so just took a punt!

  • It's great when your young un's learn and stick at it. My youngest, who is 21, studied music at school for 3 years and although he doesn't play all the time, we still enjoy a good jam every now and then, at bbqs.

  • Awesome! Congratulations... did you warn him about the influx of female attention he's going to receive?
