    I was going to look at this, but got caught up in work and forgot - it's still there to be watched, though!

  • The instrumentalists sound great on this but that vocalist just does nothing for me whatsoever
    I'm scared and I'm waiting for life

    Have to agree- John Hogg isn’t the best for Hendrix style vocals.
    Karma......

    The best guitarist and singer out there doing Hendrix is Stan skibby, who we had the great fortune to hear in Bologna twice. The best Italian guitarist is easily Fulvio Feliciano.
    Here’s an example of the treats we saw:

    The channel is the organiser of all the Hendrix events, who does it simply for the love of Hendrix and the musicians who follow him. Bruno is a great person; fingers crossed for next year’s event.

  • Well... I thought they caught Jimi’s loose groove. I loved it !

    and good on Ronnie’s for marking a (sad) 50th anniversary;

    I never knew Jimi’s last appearance  on any stage was there...

  • There was some Hendrix tribute act on London Live TV last night, it was truly dreadful, I had to stop watching after 3 mins, I don't think the drummer had ever heard Mitch Mitchell play

    Jimi Hendrix died 50 years ago and left us with an amazing legacy of great songs in his own iconic style. The Hendrix Collective perform a set of his songs in tribute to the influential musician.

    I caught a few minutes of this as well and you're being kind. A tone-deaf drunk on comb-and-toilet-paper would have been an improvement.

    Given that it was on London Live it's bound to be repeated at some point and may be worth watching if only to make yourself feel better about your playing and singing.

    Hendrix impersonators always sound like they're trying to compete with him.

  • I saw it and it’s still up on Youtube.

    It was alright. Paul Stacey got a lovely tone- seemed to be using an old Laney too, possibly a Supergroup.

    Still find it mad that Paul Stacey was in the Black Crowes.
