App or something to map / track holidays etc?

In the old days we had a paper world map that we stuck pins in

there must be something “modern” and digital which allows me to “map” where we’ve been in the uk / world and perhaps attach photos to?

anyone have something that does this

if anyone is going to suggest GoogleEarth, great, but please can I have a primer as to how to do that (on an ipad which doesn’t work the same way as a laptop)

I tend to spend more time stopping organisations from tracking me, but I heard from friends that this app was OK

If you just want it at national or US State level then Been is quite good. Otherwise, what Kittyfrisk said - Apple/Google maps or similar, then bookmark places on there.
