Was thinking of letting my Billy Bo go but really struggling on a value
Never seem to come up for sale so hard to judge, what do you all think?
My is 2006 and fitted with a Bigsby which can be removed easily without marks and the original G tailpiece put back on.
Mint apart from one tiny ding on the top edge
Comes with certs and case

  • I’d love one at some point! Beautiful guitars.

  • Yeah, I have nothing productive to add on any potential value of the guitar as I have no clue, but it looks fucking great!

I'd keep it if I were you!  =)

  • Check Reverb sold listings. I’ve seen a few listed for EUR 2300ish, though whether they made that, I don’t know

Yeah i checked those, prices seem all over the place, and hard to know if those listings sold and where they are

Ask Mansons, as my mate sold his one through there a few years back, they might be able to help you with a guide price.

In my humble opinion, on a good day, £1600.
£1300 is a good average. Wouldn’t go lower, though I have seen a few for £1k

Thanks, they don't come up often so its hard to judge the right value

  • I’d remove the Bigsby and sell separately. Otherwise, looking at the Reverb prices I think @TheMarlin is spot on, though it depends on how you want to sell, through somewhere like Reverb or as a private sale.

With Reverb you probably have a better chance of finding someone (possibly in another country) willing to pay a bit more as they are rare enough.

I wouldn’t remove the Bigsby.  It would remove some of the appeal.

Personally, I would never buy a Gretsch without a Bigsby. It’s a big part of the experience

I know it is an acquired taste, but I think those values are to low - Take into account you want a quick sale or are prepared to play the long game, but IMO something pushing 2K is about right - £1600 on a bad day

I've seen Cream (or was it White ? ) one sell for £2200 but I've seen about 3 in Guitar shops in the last 8 years and all were around £16/1700
