Modern Family...................................can be seen on Netflix now
Another vote for this, consistently funny .
I watched an episode last night for the first time in ages, I laughed out loud a lot! It's shot more like a documentary than a regular sitcom, but there's some really funny stuff in there. Great characters, especially the dad, although I love the big gay guy as well.
Yeah,it's fantastic ............the 'big gay guy'......is called Cam ...........did you know he's straight in real life ?

Modern Family - delicious comedy and great to re-watch random episodes......except for the last series which lost it's sparkle.......or writers?

the latest season just added to Netflix  (8 I think) is a return to form.  Cant believe Cameron is straight ! That's some pretty impressive acting.

Another feelgood show for me is The Goldbergs. There's always a 'life problem' that gets sorted to satisfaction by the end.

It's good spotting the the actors from the 80s.
The woodwork teacher is the kurgan from highlander and, I think, the science teacher is mahoney from police academy? Plus lots of cameos.
George from Seinfeld is the drama teacher

I resisted "Schitt's Creek" for the longest time but 34 weeks in my home office has worn me down.......and I'm in the 4th Series now. Eugene & Dan Levy took some acclimatising but it's very wicked humour.

Missus Munckee made me watch this and it really reminded me of thirty something from back in the day.

Low and behold the executive producer is the guy who played Michael in thirty something.

The flashbacks annoy me I have to say and it’s a bit like emmerdale but it filled a lot of lockdown.

Just started watching This Is Us as well (purely because I need new shows to binge on) and it has passed the test of making me want to watch at least three episodes in one sitting. If somebody described to me what the show was about before I watched it I would probably not give it a chance at all but it’s a very wholesome show with subtle bits of humour and it isn’t too sappy or overly emotional. The flashbacks are an integral part to the show, without them nothing would make sense.

Just re-visiting this thread to say thank you to everyone who suggested Community! I hadn't heard of it before reading here but its brilliant. Really great script and acting, I'm not sure how its passed me by for so many years.

My boss told me "dress for the job you want, not the job you have"... now I'm sat in a disciplinary meeting dressed as Batman.

Dads Army always makes me feel better and nostalgic. Married With Children, Becker (with Ted Danson), Frasier and Heartbeat are go-to feel good programmes for me.
