I'm not sure it can be classed as snake oil.   Its just a wax based finishing product.

The tub looks pretty groovy so there's that at least!

So it's a dark coffee coloured wax that makes guitars look all dark and old.

I've bought some to try on 3 fretboards I have that are desperately crying out for something, a Laurel, a Pau Ferro, and a light coloured Rosewood.

looks nice enough but I how much will wear off onto your fingers tried a few fingerboard darkeners over the years
