Macca III

What's Hot
The last time I purchased an album of McCartney's  was Flowers in the Dirt (1989??). Thought I would check out his new album and it's not that bad. There are a few songs on the album which he could have dropped, but on the whole 6/10.

I’ve been enjoying it while cooking over the couple of days.

It’s hardly Abbey Road but it’s a decent record

His voice is a little strained but considering his age :)

I enjoyed it. Would still listen to it if it wasn't by anyone well known

The wife and I saw him in concert 2 years ago (maybe 3) and guy played over 3 hours solid so no surprise his vocal gets a little strained but what a gig absolutely amazing and they don’t get any better than that

It’s the best album Paul has released in years.
Love the fact that it’s all him and recorded at his Peasmarsh in Sussex home studio.
That farm from the moment he bought it has been inspirational for so many of his best songs and music.

I've never listened to his stuff since he left the Beatles (heard the singles of course), but I do love Macca. Lovely bloke!

  • "When Winter comes" starts off well, then sounds like "one of those crap Macca songs"  Sorry Paul

HIs 'home' studio isn't actually at home on the farm, but at the old windmill he owns in Icklesham.

Just heard one of the songs on the radio - I think it’s called “Find My Way”.

If it’s typical of the album then he obviously hasn’t... it’s a big Pass from me.

Based on Macca solo work that I’ve heard to date, I’d pay a tenner every year if he promised to never release another album.

I will listen to this with an open mind though...

I also read the thread title as Macca ill!

Of course, it's not so much Macca III as Campo III. (Let's see who gets this)

  • listened to McCartney at the Cavern the other night, he played some songs of the album some sounded ok but his voice was flaky in places and I was not impressed by the piano playing the bass part on Saw Her Standing there

I have everything Paul has ever released and some he hasn’t.
I’ve probably played RAM and Wild Life every month since the day of there release.
