How many amps constitutes a collection? Two amps is just a couple of amps. Three might be generously considered “a few”. A collection? Five? Ten?

They are dotted about the house, post--Christmas, and I *do* need to take a group photo, but the current list :

Rivera R55 head (could be persuaded to part with)
633 DriveKing 2x10 combo plus 2x12 Hoffnine cab (neither going anywhere)
Thornton Dexter combo (unbelievably versatile combo born n bred in Yorkshire)
    Blackstar TVP
    Blackstar Fly3
Modulus JTM Black Flag 45 kit, awaiting switch-on

To be added this year :
An as-yet undecided Modulus kit no.2
    633 2 channel w/tremolo custom head

Mesa Mark IV combo, Bogner Atma head and a Friedman PT20. All of which are outstanding amps but incoming GAS and a desire to downsize/consolidate means that at least two of them may be ending up in a for sale listing.......!

Always wanted a Danplifier, very nearly ended up buying one but a misunderstanding with the misses ended with me backing out and messing Dan around which I still regret

I can't remember everything I've had, but some of the ones I do remember:

    Gorilla 30
    Peavey Classic 30
    Blackstar Artisan 30
Dr Z MAZ 18 JR NR
    JMI AC15 twin
    JMI AC30/6
    1965 Fender princeton r
    Klemt Echolette M40 1959
    1973 Marshall JMP PA 50w (model 1985)
    1965 Vox AC30 Bass
    65 Amps Ventura
    1965 Fender Vibrolux Reverb
    65 Amps Lil'elvis
    Alessandro Bluetick
    Swart AST
    Magic Amps X-brit NOS
    1966 Fender Deluxe Reverb
    1965 Fender Vibro Champ
    65 Amps Apollo
    Magic Amps 5E3 signature edition
    1985 Marshall 4010 JCM800

And these are some of the ones I still have:

    1968 Marshall JMP 50w bass
    Tweed deluxe (home built)
    1968 Fender Pro Reverb
    Magic Amps Vibro Prince
Suhr / Jim Kelley Single Channel Reverb Head
    Ceriatone OTS 50
    2011 Clark Tyger
    Modulus tweed champ

I think I do have photos of all of them, which I can share, but it would be to time consuming to post all.

It's fun to try out different amps, nowadays though... I go for smaller amps or acoustic. But I sure have owned a lot of stuff since I first got that little 30w solid state gorilla.

For some reason I have ended up with a few WEM amps. I've had clubman's, Westminster's, dominator's, er's. They're decent British amps, a bit unusual and they were going for not a lot. I love them. Most of the ones I've bought were needing some work so I got them nice and cheap.
I've had a few fenders as well over the years.

I just seem to have built up a collection of practice amps owing to infirmity.

    Digital :
    Fender Mustang Mini
    Blackstar id Core 10
    Laney Linebacker LR5
There are what I play day to day rotating them when I fancy a change. Each of them tend to prefer certain guitars of mine to sound their best.

    Analog :
    Randall RX20R
    VOX Pathfinder 15R
    Peavey Blazer 158
The VOX and Randall hold their own at jam night sessions within a band setting. I replaced the tiny circuit board mounted spring reverb in the Peavey for a larger tank and it sounds really good with my Squier Jaguar.

    Tube :
    Randall RD1C
    Ibanez Tubescreamer TSA- 5
The Randall is a Mike Fortin designed high gain amp with XLR output for recording.
The Ibanez has done a few pub gigs with a band. I can use the footswitch to turn the Tubescreamer on.
