Streaming audio into a facebook group chat (or similar..but not zoom)

So theres a thread on here about zoom but figured Id ask about FB.

Basically we want to ahve a band listening party so we can listen to a bunch of material and chat about it. I would like to stream the audio from my computer..either the DAW of VLC, so everyone can hear at the same time and still be able to chat over it.

We don't have zoom so FB chat, google hangouts, even skype might be an option but whats the ebst bet here. Do I really need to use OBS or can I use a virtual loopback from my interface?

  • You can use ReaStream to send audio to OBS from any DAW. Then you can connect OBS to your Facebook page via the usual secret key method.

    Bye!

Not really, it's making a lot of hops on the journey.

This band used the delay as a looper and made a live video with it!

  • Is that an FB statement, could I get better performance out of twitch or similar, or possibly running a local streaming server of some kind?
