Issue with JHS Superbolt V1? Or Not?

Hi All.
Just purchased an absolutely mint Superbolt pedal. Sound wise it works absolutely fine and exceeded my expectations tbh. The Pedal switch engages the pedal on and off as expected. But the superbright led light is on at all times! Is this standard for this pedal or a fault? Never experienced this before so unsure if it should be this way. Cheers for any feedback.

Yeah its pretty bright if I recall from the times I've owned one! nothing to worry about. Ive seen some people stick a bit of tape over bright LED's to soften them on their boards

Cheers bud. I can cope with brightness tbh. Can you remember if your light stayed on at all times tho?

Open it up and see if a wire has come loose from the switch?

I have the V2.  It toggles between red and blue - but definitely off in bypass

I don't know but I'm guessing it's pretty pointless having an LED on all the time.

The led should definitely go out when the switch is off.

It sounds like the part of the footswitch (I assume a 3PDT) that switches the led has shorted. As said above, open it up and look for any stray wisps of wire that might be shorting the switch. If not, some switch cleaner wicked down the shaft of the footswitch and operating the switch on/off a number of times may clear up the issue. Worst case is a new footswitch.
