Vox Mini Superbeetle Audio Bluetooth reduced to £199 from £349

Pretty good deal here just wondering if anyone has heard them. You can use them as an amp and as a bluetooth speaker but by all accounts they're inferior sounding as amps to the ones without bluetooth and with the NuTube technology.

I have a nice amp for recording but thinking of picking this up for the living room to use as a speaker and occasional practise amp. It's just because they look cool and it seems like a good deal someone talk me out of it please. Any advice from anyone would be appreciated. Thanks.

Depends on what you want it for. It looks very cool, but it's essentially a bluetooth speaker that you can play guitar through rather than a guitar amp you can play music through... even without the NuTube and not having reverb and tremolo, the cabinet is basically a hi-fi speaker rather than a guitar speaker - 1x6.5"+tweeter rather than 1x10" - in other words it's probably not going to sound very good for guitar unless you run a little multi-FX into it. If you want it mostly as a bluetooth speaker and only occasionally as a guitar amp it might be worth a try, but if it's the other way round I would avoid it.
