Great for mic'ing a whole room - just hang it on the wall! Tested and working. Approx 5m of cable from mic to battery box, 0.5m cable from battery box to mono jack plug. Runs from a single AA battery (not included) but I'm also including a little home-made adaptor that allows you to use a 9V PP3 battery for more headroom - a popular mod, hasn't broken it yet, but use at your own risk!

Ha, and me! These were a revelation before affordable condensers from China and all you had to plug in to your 4-track cassette machine was a £25 dynamic vocal mic.
