seems a bit mean to highlight a guy in this way. I suspect that many of us here are at that sort of level.
+1. If you're going to have a pop at someone else, at least post something better yourself if you can (99% sure that won't happen though).

  • If owning superbly made instruments made us SRV, not many of us would be left taking the piss out of folk on videos posted on this forum.

That iconic riff to "Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress" is actually a lot harder to get 100% than you think - the Hollies recording actually features Allan Clarke playing the riff because Tony Hicks had trouble nailing it, and Tony Hicks is a very good player.   The guy in the vid actually made a pretty good job of it.

If you put this guy in a band he would be fine, I've seen much worse.  I've been much worse.

Not sure what the point is here.

He’s alright, he looks happy, he maybe hits the bass strings a hair hard but he’s having fun playing a nice guitar better than I could and if that’s his house he’s probably living quite a nice life. I wish him well and am envious in equal parts

  • I fail to see what’s funny?

The guys obviously got the money for a great guitar, he’s enjoying himself, and it’s making him
happy, so fair play to him!

I think it’s pretty harsh to disparage someone for a video like this.

So what you’re saying is you have to be of a certain standard before you’re allowed to own the equipment you want to own?
The NHS Careers website says it’s five years at dental school and two years of supervised practice before you’re allowed to own a PRS.
Ah, yes, but that’s a sensible rule about being allowed to purchase and own a PRS - nothing about the standard of playing required to be allowed to own the PRS.
This week's procrastination forum might be moved to sometime next week.

It’s his mannerisms that tickle me, rather than his playing, he’s deffo better than me!

Seems like he’s got it pretty good. Fair play to the guy..
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

I quite fancy one of those silver skys now, but hated them when they came it.

I personally couldn't give a monkeys about his level of playing. If he wants to own an expensive guitar and he actually plays it then that's great in my book. If I had the money I could own a Ferrari if I wanted - I don't have to be able to demonstrate that I can drive like Lewis Hamilton to be allowed one...

I'm the opposite, funnily enough. As a huge Mayer and PRS fan boy, when they first came out I wanted one but that desire has faded and I'm not bothered at all really now.

I looked up the guys website. I was hoping that he was Tony Hicks.

I'd hope we encourage rather than humiliate.

It reminds me to never post a video of me playing:-)

Fair play to the bloke!... he’s got a guitar and he’s playing it!!!!

Most of this forum can only say they’ve done 50% of that!...

Every time I look at a Silver Sky I just think it looks like a £100 Chinese knock off badly done strat copy. I presume they are perfectly nice guitars to play but they just look wrong to me.

I'm not sure what is supposed to be funny about the video.
