SORTED - Who Is The Best Guitar Body Refinisher?

Hi Fretboarders

I'm seeking recommendations for someone to respray a £3K guitar.

I am especially picky and want a perfect job done even if it costs more than average.

I live in Chippenham in the South West not far from Bath, Bristol and the M4 but I'd be happy to courier the guitar anywhere in the UK.

Don't know about best because that's subjective. @iamf68 is in Wales and is very highly regarded on here and a decent chap to deal with.  Have used him a number of times and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

This was a 79 strat he refinished for me, I sent him a picture of a weathered oly white strat and he sent me back exactly what I wanted:  I'm not much of a photographer but the checking and the variance in the colour is exactly what I asked for.

I've not used any refinishers, so have no direct experience, but I have followed the work and posts of @rexter on this forum. His work looks excellent to me.

White blond hardtail Strat, I sent the one piece select Swamp Ash body to him direct from Guitarbuild, the result is utterly superb....

Dave Wilson in Acomb, Northumberland, ex Overwater. Does all of Sfefan Sobell’s paint work and refinishing, he’s awesome. Refinished Mark Knopfler’s Fenders too
