What is a Google 'Brand Account' and why have I got four ?

If I click on my regular Google account icon at the top right https://myaccount.google.com/ - I see four identically named 'Brand accounts' below - the name is one I use for YouTube.  What is a 'brand account', why have I got four of them and why are they all named the same ?  I spent over an hour trying to sort this out last night but I'm baffled !
Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.
Also chips are "Plant-based" no matter how you cook them.

    A brand account is an account that can have more than one person as admin...

    so when you launch your YouTube channel you could appoint me as an admin to also upload vids and administer it under the same name for example...

    why you have 4 is down to you...

    But I never set that up.  I obviously must have set up one account for YouTube but how that's transformed into four brand accounts I don't know.

    Just had a look at my google account.

    there’s an extra  “brand account” associated with it which is a YouTube channel I set up for someone years ago.

    have you done anything like that? Possibly other email addresses?
