it’s not common for a drummer to also be lead singer, but there are some.
Here’s your starter for ten:
Levon Helm;
Phil Collins.
Over to you!

    Roger Taylor, to some extent anyway.

    I remember going to see a local band where the only vocalist  was the drummer and it was quite odd.

    The drummer out of Chic, I'll have to look up his name. He is the band's Bowie live.

    Peter Criss on the odd song. Arguably a better singer than drummer.

    I've watcjhed @MrB sing while drumming and manage to turn the page of a lyrics book in the middle of the song!

    Can't recall Karen playing and singing at the same time - Maybe there are clips available but not in the same was as say Don Henley did - Yet I saw a recent Eagle gig from California and Don both played less and sang less

    That would be my obvious first choice to list - Yet on the video I saw recently of a live gig, he both sang and played drums far less, for whatever reason - Dare I say 'age'

    Ha! I had to stop drumming to turn the page ;)

    its a a really weird skill set to develop, some times it’s effortless and sometimes it’s impossible. There has been a few moments where I’ve forgotten that I was meant to be singing, and wondered where the vocals were! I definitely couldn’t do it for a full set where joe public was expecting a quality experience.
    Karma......

    Did Mo Tucker ever drum and sing at the same time? The Ex's drummer Katherina Bornefeld always takes lead vocal duty for a few songs. She's incredible.

    Don Brewer shared lead vocals with Mark Farner in Grand Funk Railroad. Poor quality video but this is a great song - Black Licorice. I love the way he screams out 'Licorice, Black licorice' at 1.40.

    Doesn't Gil Moore from Triumph do a lot of the vocals?

    You are correct - my mistake. Actually they all sing, but DC didn’t sing lead.
