I nearly bought a hi-res download of Close To The Edge today; it is £20+, though.
I've been looking at a streamer unit on ebay, so I may go for it if I pull the trigger.

Adrian Smith/Richie Kotzen on CD (loving that)
Neil Young “Way Down in the Rust Bucket” (streaming but will buy....awesome live performance from my favourite NY period)
The Almighty “Powertrippin’ Reissue” on CD, great to hear again as it’s long been out of circulation, although I do prefer the first two albums before they tried to go alt rock from hard rock.
The Black Crowes “Shake you moneymaker - reissue) on CD Loving the live bonus tracks on this.

All reissues or retro artists for me!

I haven't bought anything for ages.  Haven't bought much on Blu-ray either, I seem to have got out of the habit of buying "stuff".

  • I've got into buying vinyl recently which is strange as I was always a tape person before the creation of CD's.  I've been buying a mix of old and new stuff...the last couple of weeks have been...

Mogwai - As The Love Continues...
Steven Wilson - The Future Bites
Black Crowes - Shake Your Money Maker
    Cold Years - Paradise
Pink Floyds...The Wall, DSOTM and Meddle

After streaming music for the past few years, it's good to listen to a complete album where it's not easy to skip to the next track!  I'm also looking forward to browsing in a record shop when they reopen....also not something I've done for a long time.

I bought a copy of the latest Steven Wilson LP The Future Bites earlier  this year.

The heavily anticipated new release and the extra wait due to Covid holding it up for a year meant  I was really looking forward to it.
First impressions I’m disappointed but hopefully it will be a grower?
Well sorry to say it hasn’t.

It's taken me a few listens but I'm liking it now. I only discovered him via the remixes he had done of Marillion albums and started to listen to "To The Bone" plus the Home Invasion live concert.  I might have to delve a bit deeper into the Porcupine Tree stuff and see if I like that.

Yeah, I've gone off Wilson. He's lost interest in virtuosos apparently, hence I've lost interest in him.

The last FLAC album download I bought was Psychic Lemon Live Studio Jams 3 a few weeks ago.
You can download all 3 Live Studio Jams for free but in these troubled times I’m sure the band would be grateful of any donations.
