Joe Hubbard Bass

Anyone else checked out this fella's online bass lessons? He's got a load of stuff on YT, it's really good. He really knows his stuff.

I saw him play live when he was Gary Numan's bassist in 1983. Jesus H he could play. He was Pino Palladino's tutor! I'd never seen a player like him, blew me away.

So I was chuffed to bits to see he's got some lessons free on YT, and I'm now thinking about some of his books, and poss online paid for courses. Worth a look IMO.

He taught me everything I know.
Back in the mid 80s I had lessons with him at the Bass Centre (same time as he was teaching Pino) when it was in Wapping.
And you're right, he does really know his stuff.
I've been to see him play a few times too, not with Numan though, with his jazz quartet. Not really my sort of thing, just went along to show support.

Hubbard's Cubbard. Very 80s jazz fusion, not my thing either, but simply amazing playing. I envy you having been taught by him!
