New mic day, had need to increase my stock of instrument mics,and always one to try new things and  having heard a bit about the new Beyer TG151 have bought a pair.

This afternoon recorded one of them against E906 SM58 and Beta58 , flat into QU16 with the gain set the same for each mic and being absolutely honest there was nothing to chose between the Beta E906 and the Beyer, the SM58 just not in the same league, This was micing a cabinet.

Physically slightly chunkier  but shorter than an Beta58 so easior to use on a kit, going to work well on brass.

Pricewise about the same as Beta57 and £50 cheaper than E906

Good to hear! Always had good results with Beyer stuff. I've got an old M69 that's magic on guitar cabs.
