Don't worry, the scratchplates *do* come off, that's no reason to return it.

Its a great Les Paul , fit and finish are excellent , really good fretwork proper crowned and polish and sounds great . Really nice neck , not sticky and great player , very slinky on 10s . Tech set it up , no big deal , as some reviews mentioned couple nut slots needed stroking and board was a bit dry and truss was loose from factory . All sorted now . Gibson seem to have it right this time .

Lovely. I recently got the same model in unburst finish, after resisting Les Pauls for many years, and it instantly became my favourite guitar.

Very very nice. I have one too in Bourbon Burst. The nut needing sorting on mine too. To cut a long story short, Jon at Feline Guitar sorted it with an earvana nut and now it’s a stunning guitar in every way.

He knows his stuff and not much to sort on these , very well made . I've 3 other more expensive LPs and had dozen others , this is as well made if not better .

The colour and flame on that is exactly what I’d want in a Les Paul. Dark red and not over the top.

what do you think of the pickups ? I absolutely love them on mine, lots of clarity with just the right amount of bite, they're some of my favourite humbuckers ever.

Agree... I love the pickups on mine, a 2019 60s standard. I often keep the volume on 7-8, for warm cleans of break up, then roll it up to 10 and they start growling.  The in-between position with the volumes rolled down also bright and clear.
