Another victim of my one in, one out policy. Epiphone Les Paul 1960 Tribute Plus (2013). These had several upgrades over the bog-standard Epi LPs:
Long tenon neck joint (they called it a “deep-set neck”).
Full depth maple cap (under a veneer of course).
Gibson USA Classic ‘57 & Classic ‘57 Plus pickups.
Switchcraft toggle switch and jack, Mallory caps.
Series/parallel switching on push-pull tone pots.
Hard case.
I added a pickguard (there goes half the potential market...) and changed the tuners from the locking Grovers (I don’t like locking tuners) to Kluson Deluxe style tuners (which are actually Grovers). A high fret was causing some buzzing when I bought it so it went straight to a tech who did a superb job - the action is 1.75mm low e and about 1.25mm high e. Probably The best set-up guitar I’ve owned in recent years. It has what they called a “slim taper” neck, which I’ve measured as 20.2mm at the first fret and 23.1mm at the 12th.
Condition is excellent - no chips or dings on the body or neck and just the very beginnings of some fret wear (I’ve tried to photograph but it’s hard to show). The case has some minor scuffs and very small nicks in the covering.
