All Sold 1968 SG Special,1979 Fender USA Stratocaster, 1957 Gibson Les Paul Special
What's Hot
Ok must be the time of year again when I inexplicably decide to change things up despite loving the guitars I own already. This being the latest example, a 1957 Gibson Les Paul Special.
This is an outstanding guitar, probably the best I have owned. As a guitar it’s as good as the 2 pre cbs Teles I have had but as an instrument it’s a much cleaner and fully original example (bar the case) than those so has to be my no.1 to date.
So why sell? I often go through a phase where I decide I have to much money tied up in the guitars I own so makes sense to free some of that up and invest it properly. In the past when I have done this I have often come out the other side having added cash for something even more expensive
Will try not to do that this time but you know what anything goes so let me know what you have.
Guitar is all original parts and finish but comes with modern Gibson hard case. Some cosmetic wear and very cool lacquer checking (for those of us who are into that sort of thing). Note a little finish discolouration on the back bottom right. No issues whatsoever.
Looking for £9000 cash firm.
Will consider trades and px but these must equate to £9k comfortably especially where I am taking on guitars that I would only be selling to achieve the full whack.
1968 SG Special
Very nice all round condition and screaming P90s on this one. Seems to have been refretted with larger wire but believe it’s all original otherwise.
Non original Gibson Hardcase
£3500 plus postage

Looks amazing!
It is a cracking example although I should add it’s not as much of a case Queen as those pics make it appear. It’s in great condition sure but there is some wear as you would expect from a 42 year old guitar. Didn’t have to do maths to work that out either as 79 is my birth year
Thats another selling point, opportunity to buy a birth year guitar... even if it’s not your birth year
