Love these, all the Hellecasters were in one of the first Fender pamphlets I got when I started playing.

There used to be a JJ at Regent Sounds on display in the shop, it was there for a good while...?

Dont know if youve played one but iirc theyre solid maple(or mahogany) and most weigh a ton? Played one years ago and it wasnt for me (and im a Huuuuge Hellecasters fan!)

Yes they are maple, the one I played wasn’t too bad but that was a long time ago when weight wasn’t a factor.

I didn’t buy it at the time because I didn’t know about the mistake they made at the factory with the additional capacitor, it was lovely to play but plugged in sounded broken.

Hmm, the one on Reverb is 11lbs so maybe my memory is worse than I though, or I was way more hench in my 20’s
