Boss DD200 question

Hi guys,

This goes out to Boss DD200 owners - do you find or found the switches difficult to access when placed on the top rail of a slanted board ie Pedaltrain 2? I’m looking to buy one for my pedaltrain but the design of the pedal looks like the switches would be tricky to stamp on if there was another pedal directly underneath it due to slanted design of both pedalboard and pedal.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Dave

if there's a pedal right in front, you could struggle for sure.

Yes 100%. These type of pedals have to be front row only for me and even then they're still not as easy as regular upright enclosures.

I thought this would be the case - what a crap design!

Even crapper is that you can't store (or recall) a patch set in a state of bypass.

I was hoping the DD & MD200 would be the answer to many MIDI prayers on my board, but it wasn't to be for that one, insurmountable reason.

I'm not a tap dancer, so purposely buy programmable units, and don't want delay or modulation on in every preset.  With these units you can't switch to a preset that is off.

Would a couple of Barefoot Tallboy buttons work?

You could always make a pedal riser, or buy one of those fancy pedal train ones if your feeling flush.

I don’t think they would really - the buttons are small - quite angled and low down on the pedal face. Having just rejigged my small board I have been mildly annoyed by how needy it is as far as location goes.
