:o I quite like the look of a couple of these!

Not sure on one on the bottom one, which has a plain maple bolt on, prefer the painted crackle neck to match, though I like its ‘top’ the most.

  • I saw this earlier, very nice indeed. The Floyd models look best to me.

Were these an 80's thing then the crackle finishes? I see Jackson and a few other brands have done some recent models, was it Charvel maybe?

I've seen a new Kramer online with a leopard print front too.. I'd be lying if I said I didnt think about it haha.

I like these, I’m sure the purists will probably hate them.

crackle finishes were what the classy 80s guitarists played

  • Very cool. Friend of mine still has his rainbow crackle Charvette from the 90s. It's funny, I didn't like it at the time but I'd love one now!
Too much gain... is just about enough \m/

I like a crackle finish, but prefer a single colour. One of the best I ever saw was a blue sparkle with silver crackle Jackson Soloist in the long gone Allbang and Strummit shop in London. I stared at it open mouthed.

I did see one on Reverb.a few months back and was tempted, but it was beaten up, so I passed.

Minging, I've never been a fan of crackle or magma finishes, as I think they look like arse.

And another +1 from me always thought this finish was cool in the best 80s way.

Also just seen the Tele comes in 24.75" so I'm running out of excuses not to buy one now.

Careful now skunkwerx, remember the LTD Ouijah and your disappointment. You can't go wrong with a Jackson though =)

The washburn EC29 also was available in a few crackle finishes. I particularly love the red one.

Not a fan of rainbow crackle. I prefer just the one colour
