Sold 1977 Fender Deluxe Tele

Unfortunately an overdraft that isn’t reducing is forcing me to sell a few potential keepers. This is one and there may be a 79 Strat to follow.

Its all original except for replacement tuners , the previous owner swears it’s the original finish but V and R Bath thought it may be an old refin (they weren’t totally sure but it was enough to make it affordable ) - either way it looks killer , just the right amount of wear and tear.

As far as I know this model has the 9.5 radius , it certainly has a flatter feeling fretboard and wider,  lower frets than other standard Teles of that era I’ve played.

It sounds and plays really well as you’d imagine with the original WRHB in.

Weight wise it’s a 70s defying 7.9 lbs which is pretty unusual in my experience.

Comes with a period correct Fender hardcase which I don’t think is the original one.

Actually you may be right - it definitely doesn’t feel like a 7.25 so I assumed it must been 9.5.

Cheers Chris , it was between this and my new 81 tokai Es100 and I can’t sell that yet. On the plus side I’ve got a 73 Tele Custom with the neck WRHB so it’s not all doom and gloom.  Hope things are good with you old chap
