I will regret selling this but I've just ordered a new guitar so sadly, the Telecaster has to go . . It's a USA Fender California Series Telecaster from 1997.  The "California Series" electric guitars were produced by Fender in 1997 and 1998. The guitars were carved in California, shipped to Baja California Norte, Ensenada, Mexico for painting, then assembled back in California.

The Telecaster model featured vintage hardware such as Kluson-style tuners and a vintage bridge with six individual steel saddles, medium jumbo frets make string bending and playability by far easier in contrast to the usual thin vintage frets. All of the Telecaster bodies of this particular series were routed for a Humbucker at the neck position. Some had a Humbucker fitted and some had a Stratocaster Neck Pickup fitted at the neck, mine as you can see has the Humbucker. This guitar is now 25 years old and is in great condition, not just for its age either.

The Jack Socket has been replaced as the original one was loose and could not be adjusted. The bridge is a now Wilkinson Unit complete with Compensated Brass Saddles. The original bridge is long gone, but you can buy a replacement 3 x Saddle Fender Bridge Plate on eBay for £17 if it was important to you. The intonation is absolutely spot on now and the sustain is noticeably better than it was before. It is supplied with a decent quality semi solid Gig Bag.

It has a comfy Vintage style “C” profile neck, similar to a modern USA Stratocaster, with a 9½ inch radius, 21 medium jumbo frets, 3 Ply WBW Scratch Plate, 25½ inch scale length. 5 Position Pickup Selector . . . All in all, its a very playable guitar and, from memory, it's only a fraction over 7 1/2 lbs so it's not really heavy. In terms of setup and playability,  the action is quite low without buzzing which is exactly how I like it. It plays well, it feels solid and the choice of tones available from the 5 way pickup selector make this a really versatile and flexible guitar.

Pickup only, but, if you choose to book your own courier I will bubble wrap and box the already well padded gig bag to ensure its fit to travel . . .
