SORTED: Gibson ES-335, SG, light-ish Les Paul or Tele - budget up to about £2200

I’m on the lookout for a new guitar with a thick neck - a Gibson 335 ideally or their similar models, Gibson SG, a light-ish les paul or a nice Tele. Must have a nice chunky neck! Budget up to about £2200 max.

I'm after something with plenty of mojo. I've felt a bit disillusioned with a lot of modern-designed guitars I've tried recently so I'm going back to the classic sort of stuff I used to play.

I’m based in Leeds and can collect around the north (wherever I can get a train to!) or I’m happy to pay postage.

Try an Eastman… best most Gibsons in that price range imho

Broadening the search from just 335's to include SG's, Light ish les pauls, Teles - anything with a big neck and tons of mojo! Something reasonably old would be nice but I'm not stuck on just vintage

Thanks for the offer mate! I'm afraid I found my old Duo Jet a fair bit too heavy for my crappy back Haha! So I'm guessing this would likely be the same.
It's a lovely guitar though!

The original 339s had two versions, one with a chunkier neck.  Love mine but it's the thinner necked version (and not for sale).  But if I were you I'd look at those - somewhere between an LP and a 335, mine weighs around 7lbs and it's not as cumbersome as a 335.
