ES335 wiring harness question

Quick question on Gibson 50s style wiring. I bought a prewired harness without the jack or switch. The pots are grounded together using pushback wire. Most wiring diagrams show braided wire from the switch looping around the pots, grounded at each, then connected to the bridge pickup volume. Like this:

Since my pots are already tied together, should I run the ground from the bridge switch position only to the to the first pot in line (neck volume) and run a hot connection around to the bridge volume pot? Would this be more susceptible to noise since most of the run does not have the braid around it?
