[sorted] WTB lightweight 1x12 cab

Back issues prompts me to give up heavy combos and go head and lightweight cab. What light cabs have you got?

If it's loaded I'd prefer an 8ohm speaker so I don't need to swap it out.

I'm not too familiar with cabs so not 100% sure what I'm looking for or what my budget it, but it's for some good amps and I'd like something decent.

Budget?  There was a Matrix NL 112 in the Classifieds fairly recently.

I have an H&K Tubemeister 1x12 I'd let go of. It's lightweight and made of dovetailed birch ply. Happy to sell unloaded if that's better for you as the speaker is 16 ohms. PM if interested!

I have an orange PPC 112 excellent construction but not a super light neo cab, still pretty light though, has a 16 ohm in and a spare but you could sell both of those get an 8 ohm and keep the change

I run two with my Kemper, they sound awesome and are ridiculously light.

I have a Raezers Edge NY8 if that is of interest?   With soft cover.  Very light weight and portable.  Loaded with 8" speaker.

Located in Oxford, but occasionally in Birmingham - may even be in Leeds (where you are?) in 2 or 3 months.

Hi Hesso,

I've got a 15mm birch ply 'prototype' cab I made a while back that might suit you - seeing as I never finished it I can finish it to suit your tastes, and I can do it for a decent price. The 15mm means it's pretty light. It's smaller than I'd usually recommend for a 1x12 (it's 57x41x23cm) but it'll still sound cool. It would be perfect for a 1x10.

I can take some pics if you're interested.

Otherwise feel free to get in touch for something bespoke, or just for some advice.

Also, check out Barefaced Audio, I think their cabs are really light.
