    It’s a terrible video.

I like how EHX just release new products seemingly out of nowhere - there's no rumours, or drawn out cryptic teasers on the lead up to the release. (Or at least I didn't see any for this one!)

EHX seem to do terrible videos, I thought it was one of their better ones. They don't do the thing of sending pedals out to various review channels which would give a slightly broader range of demos.

I think they are that big and well known they can do whatever they feel like hahaha!

I don't know how you quantify it but I'd say not as big as Boss and they do the sending out to channels thing now. It would be interesting to see a few videos but just stuck with the one.

This won't be replacing my original 90s DMM but that's currently off the board because of its enormous size...eeeek.

  • I'm a bit disappointed this hadn't crashed TGP with 5000 pages of theological arguments about charge pumps or whatever.

I have an early 00’s one - if this new one sounds reasonably similar but is *slightly* quieter with a *slightly* longer delay time then I am absolutely on (pedal-)board.

  • I've gone from being "OMG take my money" to a bit less excited, the more I think about it.

I mean, if it does sound like a big box one then great but I have my doubts if they can pull it off. I worry it'll just be "another" analogue delay with modulation.

What can this do that e.g. a Boss DD8 can't?

Well it looks like the original DMM circuit in a smaller box, with modern components..... I'm still interested.

    Bye!

Don’t really know all the subtleties of the DD8, but as far as I know it doesn’t have a gain boost, or vib, chorus or a blend of the two. DD8 just has a fixed modulation I think?

The DMM on their Grand Canyon is fucking beautiful, so I think I’d rather go for that than just this standalone unit.

Do many analogue delays have tails?

Nice.  I was planning on getting another Analog delay, Boss DM-2w was nice but I did miss modulation after having it previously.  I loves a modulated tail I does.

And after getting over my ‘every delay must have tap tempo’ requirement this could be an option.

Can a DMM replace a chorus / Vibrato as well?

I’d say not, unless you want little/no tweakability of the chorus/vib sounds.

I confess, I'm struggling to think of a single one!

Oh and the Sinvertek Fluid Time MKii ( I think recently rebranded as the CKK Fluid Time MKii) I'm fairly sure like the two above has switchable trails.
