I’m not sure that an actual amp does though!

You sort of need a board as well to constitute "a board".

How easy is it to get your leg up that far to stomp on them an all?

This thread makes me want to ditch the Pod Go, get a Tone Master DR, a few nice pedals and be done with it. Some really nicely thought out boards here. Love it.

  • Here's what I made so it could sit on top of my Champion 600 practice amp when it's not on the floor:

    From the top:

    From underneath:

The width of the Champion was the limiting factor so I used a couple of off-cuts to make the board to fit.  I figured dual-use pedals would be the best use of space so I used:

Harley Benton PowerPlant tuner - a tuner and power supply in one!  Brilliant!  Harley Benton!  2x500ma and 6x100ma outputs.  It comes with a clunky UK adaptor but I replaced it with another 9v 2A supply and it works fine.  The display is really large but ugly.

Lovepedal Champ clone - Champ style breakup at any volume.  The only single use pedal.

Digitech Nautila - chorus and flange, as I'm into my '80s sounds at the moment.

NU>X Atlantic = 3xReverbs and 3xDelays.  Smashing sounding and great value.

I've realised that it is almost nautically themed (Atlantic, Nautila, Tuna), so I just need an overdrive that is named after a fish.  I'm sure Way Huge must do one.

It's *tiny* - a foot wide by six inches deep and two inches high, including the wah pedal, which still feels perfectly normal despite being only about half the length of my foot. So small it fits in the pocket of my gig bag, with space to spare.

Sounds brilliant too. I've reprogrammed the switches so it's basically overdrive/distortion on/off, modulation on/off and delay on/off just like a smaller version of the ME-50, or a pedalboard.
    Sheer genius

What is the odd looking pedal with what looks like a 2-way alcometer breath test tube in your photo?
It's our resident @4114Effects 's creation.  It's a delay pedal.  Inspired by the Flux Capacitor from Back to the Future.

Those were made in pretty tiny numbers although I seem to remember there is a famous user - so famous that I can't think who they are!

although neither looks as good as the 4114. But you could have an entire flux based mini board!
Ryan Adams had one before skeletons was found in his closet...
Coldplay have three. I don't mention Ryan Adams anymore. :-)
I've asked before but I forgot: what circuit was the drive version based on?
Good question, haven't made a drive version for a while. Switchable  Hybrid of rat and TS type circuits if I remember correctly.
@EricTheWeary ;You're perhaps thinking of Paul Gilbert? One he owned sold for $999 on eBay, I believe.

Here's my own personal collection. From left to right: Delay, Drive, and I believe a one-of-a-kind Chorus

My Behringer delay stopped working the other day so this is it for now, did a gig last night and it was fine! I'll probably replace the delay with a reverb instead (maybe a Fender Hammertone), still want a chorus/Dimension and that'll do I think! I've started using my Jubilee as a channel switcher with rhythm clip for my main tone and lead channel for solos. Works better for the covers we do and means I don't need to faff with FX loop just for a boost. So I suppose I'll need a bright onion footswitch at some point too

Finally managed to find a (slightly terrible) photo of my only proper mini board, circa early 2018. This was the final incarnation of the band board before we fizzled out. I started with a full-size pedaltrain with some ridiculously oversized pedals (including a Carl Martin Headroom and a 90s Bluesbreaker) and slowly got more and more fed up of carrying it round until I ended up with this tiny board and a ZT Lunchbox amp. Sounded just as good!

    Pedals are

    Tuner
    DOD440 reissue envelope filter
    Mooer Blues Crab
    Greer Ghetto Stomp
    Subdecay Super Spring Theory.

This is mine, as of today. I’ve just traded my Helix LT and got a Stomp in part ex. The QBoost is unbelievably good…I Will use this ampless or running into an Orange Rocker 15 depending on the scenario!

Probably a daft question - why the polytune when (i presume) there's a tuner in the HX Stomp?

Probably so he won't lose a switch for the tap/tuner function.

As per @Jota, since I use the Stomp in snapshot mode, I’ve no tuner button.

I keep meaning to buy an additional two-button switch for the Stomp, but this will do for now
