It's definitely more "me" than the Strat I have been playing of late, even more so my LP Studio, which I like but don't love.
Only problem is the fact it is in dire need of a refret. Seriously unplayable at present, hence why my Strat has muscled in on the action.
Anyway, MiM Tele, 2003 ...£450 at the time, I believe...Nothing fancy or exclusive or Custom Shop or whatever...just a reliable, in-tune-unless-you-bounce-it-down-the-side-of-a-cliff workhorse. And wasn't that the whole point of the Tele?!
Sounds like a Tele, looks like a Tele. The whole idea of spending thousands on a Tele totally baffles me.
The nicest I ever played was a Cabronita in Coda. £3k+, if I recall correctly. Neck like a baseball bat after one too many Krispy Kremes. Played nicely, sounded great....but not really in a strictly Tele-ish way.
I love my Tele!
