0.54" diamondcut nut file

I'm needing the above to widen the groove in a saddle on a Firebird.  Will a 0.56" file suffice without causing the string to slip?  It's for a flatwound 0.54.

Thanks Steve, I guess the Hosco files are worth the pennies?

Yes. I use them to make most of the cut then refine the slots using StewMac files because I've got them.
