FS: Melancon Classic Artist #632 ||||||| Sabre Syren 6

Helping my gear mad mate out with these two listings. Couriers can be arranged or pickup from around North Wales. I may travel around the North West frequently too if that helps - here goes. Offers will be considered, but no trades I'm afraid.

1) Melancon Classic Artist, serial number 632, built by the late Gerard Melancon in Lousiana USA.

Melancon guitars are no longer in production and are held in very high esteem - to the level of Suhr, Anderson and other US boutique manufacturers.

This is a lovely example in “Gator Green”, with a very lightweight swamp ash body, and highly figured quilted maple top.

Maple neck with Madagascar rosewood fingerboard with perfect fretwork.

Two-point Melancon tremolo bridge which works flawlessly.

The bridge pickup has been changed at some point to a DiMarzio Fast Track 2 humbucker, which is currently wired out of phase with the middle pickup for a hollow nasal tone (can be wired in phase by simply reversing the wires).

Hard case and trem arm included.

One small area of lacquer damage, and a scratch to the rear (shown in photo) but otherwise in very good condition throughout.

2) Sabre Syren 6 Custom, with Hiscox hard case.
This was a custom order from the relatively short-lived but award-winning Sabre Guitars workshop (standard production Sabres had no seperate body tops and although fantastically spec’d instruments did not feature the higher end hardware of this version). Schaller Hannes Bridge, Gotoh 510 tuners and custom wound humbuckers. 5-way switching, volume and tone controls.
Very lightweight sculpted body with oil & wax finish. 5-piece maple/walnut neck with 24 jumbo frets.
Arm bevel and really cool jack socket placement.
Stunning workmanship throughout. Has a few small marks on the rear of the body due to the nature of the finish, but definitely nothing serious and are hard to see.
A great guitar with stunning playability and very versatile tones (it’s far from being just a modern metal/shred guitar).
