  • Timmy is great, super flexible eq and really transparent.

From memory the Nobels is good in this regard  -got another incoming (see the 'Best Odr-1' thread!).

Blues breakers (I like the Snouse) and maybe an Xotic RC Booster too.

Barber Gain Changer. The best drive pedal I own. I also have a Barber Half Gainer and that's great too. Greer Lightspeed is another option.

  • I have always liked my Thorpy The Dane, since I bought it quite awhile back. It has both Boost and Drive, which can be used separately or together. I keep a little bit of Boost on all the time.

    this.

Timmy is a good alternative. I have both, and put them on separate boards.

Another vote for the Fredric Blue Monarch, I love mine. It's actually a take on the Analogman Prince of Tone, I believe (which is itself a take on the Bluesbreaker)

  • Boss OD3 with the gain most of the way off is great for very light drive. I also really like the TC Spark Booster (larger one).

Joyo Sweet Baby. It sounds really good with the drive down and has a pretty decent range. Same goes for the Dano TOD, IMO, which has more range if you need it. The Caline Blue Sky is another one which is well regarded and I believe that they are Timmy Clones which should give you a reference.

  • I was super impressed with a Boss OD3.  Very natural touch sensitivity, good range from mild to crunch.  Not mid-focused

A DS 1 will tick all the boxes, as can be seen from this review:-

Caline Pure Sky is a Timmy clone and cheap as chips. When I had a pedalboard I used one as a light transparent drive on its own but it’s also good in front of heavier drive or fuzz pedals to give them a kick up the arse.

Naga Viper ,  you could make one -  only 11 components ,   i think of it as a booster overdrive.
.   One of the simplest and best pedals i have made , great stacked .
