Pedal news: Cooper FX closing; Stone Deaf estimate first digital pedal out in new year

You have to hand it to Cooper FX, the Generation Loss is one of those pedals that made a name for itself. Never got a chance to try one myself, had been toying with grabbing an Arcades, but looks like that will be off the cards. Can imagine the used prices will respond accordingly. But best of luck to him.

Both items are equally compelling with regard to future endeavours. I'm eager to see what they do next.

I tried really hard to get the Gen Loss and couldn't get hold of one , before he shut up shop. Cooper just released a new pedal also. I don't blame him though, sounds like he was under immense pressure, and very difficult to do as a small team.

That one I'm less sure about, I've heard a rumour from a dealer that they're being bought out. So probably in the current format they'll no longer exist, which again is a real shame.

As expected, he's joined Chase Bliss. Which is only good news for us lot.

Makes sense for him, sure he'll have creative freedom and will have to do less of the 'building'

I really hope they just start making more of the CB Generation Loss collaboration, if only to piss off the price gougers still trying to sell theirs on Reverb for £1000 up to… yep, saw one for £1400.

I saw a FAQ in the announcement. They've initially said they aren't recreating that one, but will be creating a new version with more features.

If I were them, I'd consider a big box version with the sliders if there seems to be demand for smaller units at gouged prices

Doesn't the Cooper FX Arcades also have a Generation Loss card? I suspect that nothing will now ever dent the price of the original Generation Loss pedals, guess they have magic diodes. Also: poo! I want to work at Chase Bliss! Not fair!
