My amp seems really dark, could it be the valves?

Hi,

Over the past year I've been thinking that my Orange retro 50 has been seeming like it had less treble, but not really thought too much about it.

Now over the past week it seems super muffled. I've had it for a number of years and it was in the shop for a couple more before I bought it, valves are the original ones. Could it be the valves?

Thanks @ecc83 , appreciate the comment as it is something we should all be careful of. Pretty sure that I'm ok for the moment though and its just the amp.
