OK, so due to home improvements ie new fence needed to stop the feral child next door using my front door as target practice, I'm reluctantly listing this.
It started life as a 2012 Gibson Les Paul Studio '50s Tribute Gold Top. Now it's a complete one off tone monster. Updates & improvements include
New Grover machine-heads
Seymour Duncan Antiquity aged Humbuckers
Stainless Steel refret done by local legendary guitar luthier Paul PRguitars
Neck & nut reshape to '60s " pencil neck " style Gibsons with 38mm
compensated nut, including finish removed from the back of the neck for more vintage " played in " feel. Neck measurements taken from my main modded Strat neck
Rounded heel for better comfort playing past the 12th fret (Jeff Beck mod)
Top locking strap holder nut moved to SG style position (Pete Townshend mod)
Black battered Gibson USA case with missing handle, a project I never got round to finishing.
Currently set up with man's strings, 10 - 52, not daft 9's or dafter 8's
Has scratch-plate but I'm not a fan so I removed it.
This guitar is a tone monster. Through a Marshall it is the mutt's nuts. Simples.
I'm looking at £800 O.N.O, no trades. I bought this for my 40th and I'm sad to see it go, but it's either this or saving up for a few months and possibly coming home one night to my awesome front door damaged.
Located in Willington Co Durham but I work in Washington. Test drive by all means but no string stroking tyre kickers. Cheers
