edited February 22 in Basses £
Japanese Bacchus Jazz.

Foam green
Rosewood board on maple neck
Board is nice dark close grained rosewood
Nice fast neck - not ultra slim
Alder body
Frets all 100%
Weight 7lbs 8oz

Great quality build, showing a couple of marks (see photos)
Rare to find and even rarer in this condition - knocks spots off USA Fender.  As far as I can tell - 1998-2004 golden era

£650 plus carriage (or collect from NW)

Contrary to public opinion I'm near Manchester and Huddersfield and not near the M20!

Is it extra rare because of the spelling of 'beginning'?.
It's an absolute beaut, whereabouts in NW are you?

No - Bacchus produced Jazz and Precision models until 2005 and model/series are largely unknown.

    https://www.vintagejapanguitars.com.br/en/history-of-bacchus-guitars/"

There is a history finder on the Bacchus page which just states
Model manufactured in the Aska Workshop in Japan.
This instrument was manufactured during 2003 or prior."

  • This is a slightly weird question, but how green actually is the guitar? It looks kind of dirty silver in some pics and kind of greened-out Lake Placid Blue in others... I know it's all subjective...!

It looks great regardless but keen to know one way or another.

It's not silver - maybe that's the light?
Closest Fender colour it's between surf green and foam green on this chart - closer to surf in bright light but closer to foam green in shade.

    hth.

    paint chips for fender
