Riff of the Month (RotM) #70 Challenge

This is the 70th Riff of the Month (RotM) Challenge.

The challenge is now open, and remains open for submissions until midnight on 24th December 2021.

All you have to do is ...

Write a riff. It could be anything from a single RAW guitar track to a full mix of instruments or a Bass guitar riff. However, the focus must be on the riff. Most entries will probably be guitar based riffs, but they don't have to be.

Aim to keep it to a maximum of 50 seconds. This is about riffs, not songs.

Include your forum name in the email.

Voting will start soon after the submission deadline, with each voter selecting their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice.

First choice gets 5 points - Second choice gets 3 points - Third choice gets 1 point. The order and scores of the top three entries will be announced soon after the voting ends. 

No prizes. It's just for fun.

I’m going to have a go this month - I’ve got loads of awful ideas but need to learn how to get drum tracks going on GarageBand so listeners can smack their heads on the table in time

I tried to find you a YouTube video I had bookmarked about using the arrangement track to create a song structure and then using it to add the drummer. However, it has been made private. I will look again over the weekend.

Ok, found it already. It's an older version, but the arrangement track tip he had was a revelation when I first saw it. His channel has other Garageband videos too - I think there's one about 2 hours long on doing a ballad.

Got it but Soundcloud is currently stuck on "We are processing your track for playback…".

I've tried a couple of times now. Maybe there's a Soundcloud issue. Hopefully it will sort itself soon.

My riff is so heavy it has crashed SoundCloud

I just tried to upload one of mine as an experiment and had the same problem. So it's a Soundcloud fault or you've broken it for everyone.
