Soundbrenner? Or other Metronome Advice

I've sent the soundbrenner back, it might work for some but I couldn't feel it . Ordered a drum/looper with two foot buttons. Also been tapping and just getting down to it and practicing with the metronome always on. Bit of a pain as mrsspev11 can hear it wherever she is in the house ( very selective hearing ). I'm waiting for a headphone adaptor for the iPhone then I'll try a single in ear.

The Donner Looper with drums and metronome has arrived and after a couple of hours getting to grips with it and combining it with all your advice i'm showing some signs of improvement.
