Witudrawn 2014 Fender American Vintage 64 Telecaster
What's Hot
Hi all,
My 2014 Fender American Vintage 64 Telecaster is up for sale. I’ve owned it since new.
Looking for £1750 pay pal gift. I'm happy to post if you accept the responsibility. I do have a box to post it and it comes with the brown Hardcase.
It does have some upgrades. I got the original vintage skinny frets replaced by Jescar Stainless Steel 6105 size frets. The original skinny frets were a bit pants so this made a massive improvement with playability. That was a £300 job.
I also put Fender Brass Saddles on but I still have the original Stainless Steel saddles if you prefer them.
Features include 7.25 vintage radius
Fiesta Red nitro
Medium c neck
Vintage style tuners
Original pickups which sound ace
7.7 lbs in weight. So lightweight.
G & G hardcase
Flashcoat nitro finish (very thin finish)
All the case Candy
Round lam rosewood board
It has a super thin skin nitro cellulose finish. You can tell by the pictures it is breaking up beautifully.

Lovely.
This looks to be Fiesta Red. That's the rarest finish.
According to TDPRI sources Fiesta Red had the lowest production as it was for the European market only. Candy Apple Red was next with about 200. Lake Placid Blue was the next lowest, with about 500 (I verified this LPB number with Fender)
The fret change to bigger frets will make it feel very different I imagine. More like a Custom Shop '63 type.
And yes it’s fiesta red. Good spot!
there is a dedicated AVRI 64 page here. The blue one pictured is actually mine.
