I haven't seen these guys for a few years now, but they are a fantastic Steely Dan tribute:

I took my Dad to see them for his 80th birthday at Preston Guildhall.  Bloody hell, that must have been 2005!  :o

It seems they're still playing, too.

Stanley Dee are also very good featuring the forum's own Stinkfoot

I walked past a pub in Stirchley in Brum once and there was a poster outside saying "Ian the Goat sings Black Fucking Sabbath".

So naturally I went in and it was excellent, and hilarious without being disrespectful.

It remains the only tribute band I've ever seen.

With me old mate Stu Clarke ( rip ) on guitar ... !
Ah really? Sorry to hear that, he was excellent and very funny too.

He was a great chap and he worked at musical exchanges in brum in the good old days laterly in the vintage guitar dept .
He was in loads of bands and at one time we were signed to the same management company , he had loads of interesting vintage strats some with holes in em like russ ballard .
I remember when he was auditioning for UFO and he would practice that bloody keyboard intro to dr dr live over and over ( didnt get raymonds job ) ... his fave sarny was beetroot on white which he jokingly ordered as "Clit sandwich "  Happy days ....
